CREEC facilitates professional learning for teachers through establishing key partnerships with government, non-government and community groups.
Sustainable Schools WA South Metro Regional Network
Supporting education for sustainability in school communities, teachers can join a like-minded group open to sharing sustainable ideas and resources as a key context for teaching and learning. This network meets once a term at 3.45pm to 5.30pm. Interested teachers are welcome to attend. Djarlgarra Yarning
Wednesday 22 May 2024, 3.30 – 5.30pm at CREEC
This is a valuable opportunity to hear from an experienced Aboriginal educator about the importance of the Swan-Canning River System to the Noongar people. Suitable for both primary and secondary teachers. Valuable resources and curriculum links are provided. PL Certificate supplied, cost is $20 per person.
Canoeing on the Canning – 18 October 2024
A professional development day for teachers, youth group leaders and community members, Go on a journey of discovery through this unique region by canoe and on foot. Beginning at Kent Street Weir, canoe down the river and back. Learn about the wide range of environmental education programs available in the Perth region.
