Mums & Bubs

30 minutes duration - 6-8 Babies Per Class

3 months - 6 months (1st immunisation recommended)

Take pleasure in your child’s first aquatic experience in the warm soothing waters of the Cannington Leisureplex leisure pool. Dedicated, experienced staff will gently nurture you and your precious infant through this memorable 30 minute class.

Our water familiarisation classes encourage you to praise, reassure and applaud your baby’s natural curiosity. Through play and song, babies explore the water's buoyancy like an invisible helping hand kicking; floating and submerging.

The leisure pool with its warm water and varying depths becomes a water playground for our taddies.  Our lessons use exciting colourful and stimulating equipment.

Preschool skills are introduced through an enjoyable learning atmosphere that utilises play, creative expressions, self-discovery and independent thinking to achieve the goals of the lessons.  Children develop water familiarisation and confidence then progress to formal stroking.

Our preschool sticker chart enhances the program with an ongoing reward system to promote and encourage skill development.  Sticker charts may be purchased from front reception.
