Neighbourhood Watch: Crime prevention is everybody’s business
Neighbourhood Watch is a community safety and awareness program aimed at reducing the incidence of preventable and opportunistic crime. It is about protecting your property and preserving your way of life through communication and cooperation between neighbours.
Neighbours are your most valuable security asset. They can keep an eye on your property and report any suspicious behaviour, fostering a sense of unity and safety.
A Police Officer on patrol may not know what is normal in your street and may not recognise a stranger in your yard. That is why you and your neighbours are in the best position to observe and report anything of a suspicious nature to Police.
How you can support the objectives of Neighbourhood Watch:

How to report suspicious or criminal activity to Police
The Police rely on information from the public to identify problem areas and solve crimes. By taking action and reporting crime, you are helping yourself and protecting others.
If you see any suspicious or criminal activity, report it to Police immediately. DO NOT put your safety at risk by confronting the offenders.
