Camco Engineering Mayor's Charity Gala Dinner
The City of Canning is extremely excited to announce that the highly successful Camco Engineering Mayor’s Charity Gala Dinner will return to this year’s calendar of events on Friday 8 November 2024.
With one in five Australians identifying with disability, we are partnering with our business community to deliver a gala civic dinner, raising vital funds for Good Sammy – a much loved Western Australian charity (based right here in the City of Canning).
All proceeds from ticket sales and fundraising activities on the night will go directly to Good Sammy. Funds raised will support new initiatives including the delivery of traineeship programs in Canning schools for students with disability.

Your ticket will include canapés and drinks on arrival, a delicious, curated three-course dinner, beverage package and spectacular entertainment for the evening.

Tim Gossage
Over three decades, Tim Gossage, fondly known as ‘Goss’, shone brightly as a presenter, producer and reporter with Network Ten.
Goss was the brains behind ‘The Western Front’, one of TV’s most successful local footy shows, and he is a sought-after host and Master of Ceremonies. He is also a licensed corporate and real estate auctioneer.
SWITCH

Peter Rowsthorn
Peter Rowsthorn, an Australian comedy icon with a career spanning over four decades, is celebrated for his unforgettable role in the beloved ‘Kath and Kim’ series.
From his beginnings as a stand-up comedian in the 80s performing in clubs and pubs worldwide to his TV credits including Comedy Company, Big Gig, and Thank God You’re Here, his comedic brilliance shines through.

Dress code: Black-tie optional
We kindly ask that invited guests observe our Dress Code to maintain the sense of occasion that will make this gala event so special. Knowing what to wear can be difficult so we've provided the following information to help.
Ladies
Ladies should wear full-length evening gowns, but an elegant and tasteful cocktail dress or formal pantsuit would be absolutely acceptable.
Gentleman
We would welcome the wearing of a tuxedo, but the wearing of a lounge suit (generally a darker suit in black, charcoal, or navy) would also be acceptable. This is a formal occasion and a necktie or bow tie is required.
