Youth Services
Our Youth Services team run programs, activities, and events to help the young people of Canning to connect, create, chill, and upskill.
The Youth Services staff work with young people through a range of supportive and engaging services. They are here to help young people's personal development and provide opportunities for them to thrive. By creating welcoming environments for young people, our Youth Services encourage them connect with their community and each other.

The City has launched the first Youth Consultant Network for Canning.
Youth Engagement Framework
The City of Canning is striving towards providing welcoming and thriving environments for all residents, including young people.
The decisions we make impact on the lives of young people in a variety of ways. It is important to have young people as this part of the process to help shape the communities in which they live. To support this, we have developed the Youth Engagement Framework (PDF 4MB).
This framework recognises the significance of young peoples’ voice and engagement. It provides a practical model for how we’ll support, promote, and increase engagement and active citizenship in young people across the City.
