Annual General Meeting of Electors

The Annual General Meeting of Electors provides an opportunity for electors to discuss the contents of the previous year’s Annual Report and to address any other general business.

When and where is the meeting?

The next Annual General Meeting of Electors is being held on the 30 January 2025, starting at 6pm. It will be at the City of Canning Administration Building Function Room, 1317 Albany Highway, Cannington.

Can I take part in the meeting?

The public are invited to attend this meeting. However, only City of Canning electors can take part by asking questions and voting on motions at the meeting.

Public questions

Electors may address the meeting and ask a question. Questions are to be directed to the Mayor, who chairs the meeting. The Mayor will respond to your question or may call upon a member of the City’s Administration to respond. Questions unable to be answered at the meeting will be taken on notice with a response provided in the published minutes of the meeting.

To appropriately deal with all questions at the meeting, submit questions with the City no later than 5pm, Wednesday 29 January 2025. Questions can be sent to governance@canning.wa.gov.au.

Notice of Motions from the public

Electors can put forward a motion at this meeting. Motions presented at the meeting that are carried by a majority will be considered at a future Ordinary Council Meeting.

To appropriately deal with all motions at the meeting, submit motions with the City no later than 5pm, Wednesday 29 January 2025. Motions can be sent to governance@canning.wa.gov.au.
