Archival Search

Building and Planning records when held by the City are available to the owner of any property in the City of Canning.

For a property these records may consist of:

  • Available Development Approvals (DAs) plans and documents.
  • Approved building plans & documents (e.g. site, floor, elevation and structural details).

Please note every effort will be made to obtain copies of the building/planning records within ten working days. If plans are unavailable or not legible, unfortunately the cost of the archiving search cannot be refunded.

You can lodge a new application online using the My Canning portal.

  1. Log in to My Canning.
  2. Select Enquiries.
  3. In the search bar search for archival
  4. Click the Start button for the enquiry to begin the online application submission process.
