Canning Business Mentoring Program

The Canning Business Mentoring Program can help you reach your business goals.

The City of Canning sponsors the cost of successful applicants to further develop themselves and their business across five different stages, with a tailored program/s for each:

• Seed – From idea to income delivered by Being In Business
• Start – Setting up a business delivered by Business Foundations
• Start – Female Founders program delivered by We Are Emersyn
• Sprint – Plus Eight delivered by Spacecubed
• Scale – ScaleUp WA delivered by Triangle Growth Partners
• Sustain – Executive Leaders and Future Leaders program delivered by WA Leaders

How does it work?

If your application is successful, the City of Canning will cover the cost of your participation in one of the programs outlined across the five different stages. You must be either a resident AND/OR a business owner/operator in the City of Canning to qualify for the Canning Business Mentoring Program (virtual offices in the City of Canning do not qualify). 

Firstly, apply for the program/s that are relevant to you, keeping in mind that you can only be considered for one program every 12 months, and will not be eligible to repeat the same program the following year. 

All applications will be initially assessed based on the programs qualifying criteria by the external facilitator, and then passed onto the City of Canning for eligibility. If shortlisted, you will be notified by the program facilitator directly, welcoming you and providing further joining instructions. 

Take your time to consider all of the programs and only apply for the ones which are relevant to you or your business situation.
