Procurement Policy and Guidelines
The City has policies which ensure procurement is undertaken with fairness and accountability.
Our procurement processes are governed by the Local Government Act 1995, and the associated Local Government Act Functions and General Regulations – 1996 or an internal City policy.
The City’s procurement policies and procedures are here to ensure our ratepayers receive high quality and value for money work.
What does this mean for suppliers and contractors?
We encourage suppliers and contractors to become familiar with the Procurement of Goods and/or Services Policy (AF301), which covers all levels of the City’s procurement.
Suppliers and contractors will also have some Terms and Conditions they need to adhere to, depending on the work they are undertaking:
- When submitting an offer to the City, suppliers and contractors must ensure they do so in line with the Request Submission Condition.
- Purchasing of goods, services and works, outside of a predetermined contract, is completed under the Purchase Order Terms and Conditions.
- The City’s Statement of Business Ethics also applies to all suppliers wishing to do business with the City.
