The City of Canning is extremely excited to announce that the highly successful Camco Engineering Mayor’s Charity Gala Dinner will return to this year’s calendar of events on Friday 8 November 2024.
The inaugural 2022 event was a sell-out with 320 tickets sold and over $70,000 raised for Good Sammy Enterprises, a wonderful Western Australian charity based right here in the City of Canning. The funds raised helped Good Sammy deliver a number of training and employment programs supporting people with disability in our local Canning Community.
Building on the success of the 2022 event, Good Sammy has once again been selected as the beneficiary of this year’s charity event. Funds raised will support new initiatives including the delivery of traineeship programs in Canning schools for students with disability.
We'd love for you to be involved and help make this year’s event even bigger and better!
How can you contribute to the charity?
There are a number of ways you can contribute to help making this event a success for Good Sammy:
- becoming an event sponsor
- donating an auction item
- providing an ‘in-kind’ donation of goods or services to help us to off-set the cost of staging the event
- buying a corporate table of 10 and invite your key clients
- by making a direct donation.

Your ticket will include canapés and drinks on arrival a delicious curated three-course dinner, beverage package and spectacular entertainment for the evening.

We kindly ask that invited guests observe our Dress Code to maintain the sense of occasion that will make this gala event so special. Knowing what to wear can be difficult so we've provided the following information to help.
Ladies
Ladies should wear full-length evening gowns, but an elegant and tasteful cocktail dress or formal pantsuit would be absolutely acceptable.
Gentleman
We would welcome the wearing of a tuxedo, but the wearing of a lounge suit (generally a darker suit in black, charcoal, or navy) would also be acceptable. This is a formal occasion and a necktie or bow tie is required.
