Civic and Administration Centre

The City of Canning Civic and Administration Building will be closed for Australia Day public holiday (observed) Monday, 27 January and will reopen at 8.15am, Tuesday 28 January 2025.

Waste Collection

Collection services for rubbish or recycling, will be operating as normal.

Waste Transfer Station

The Ranford Road Resource Recovery and Waste Transfer Station will be open as normal from 8am – 4.30pm (vehicle entry closes at 4.15pm).

Our Ranger and Community Safety Services will continue to operate 24 hours a day. For requests of an immediate or urgent nature, please call on 1300 422 664. Press option 1 during the closure period to report urgent requests.

CREEC will be closed on Australia Day public holiday (observed) Monday, 27 January and will reopen on Tuesday 28 January.

Leisureplexes

The Cannington and Riverton Leisureplexes will be open on Australia Day Sunday 26 January and Australia Day public holiday (observed) Monday 27 January from 8am to 5pm.

Swimming lessons will not run. Both creches will be closed.

Whaleback Golf Course

Whaleback Golf Course will be open on Australia Day Sunday 26 January and Australia Day public holiday (observed) Monday 27 January. The course will be open from 6.30am to 8pm. The Driving Range will be open from 6.30am to 8pm. Last bucket is at 7.15pm. Public holiday rates apply.
