Meet the Mentors and apply now for the annual Canning Business Mentoring Program!
The Canning Business Mentoring Program returns in 2024 with applications open to local Canning businesses and residents, alongside a free ‘Meet the Mentors’ event on Friday 22 March, 4pm to 6pm at the City of Canning Civic and Administration Building.
The event will allow potential applicants and local business owners to explore the range of mentoring support and resources available through the program, as well as meet alumni and program partners.
Program partners include some of WA’s most prominent business mentors including Being in Business, Business Foundations, We Are Emersyn, Spacecubed, Triangle Equity Partners and WA Leaders.
Five distinct stages of seed, start, sprint, scale and sustain have been tailored to local business owners and operators at whatever point in their business journey.
City of Canning Mayor Patrick Hall said that the Canning Business Mentoring Program is a key initiative that supports home grown business talent in one of WA’s largest local economies.
“Now entering its eighth year running, the Canning Business Mentoring Program has not just been able to assist over a hundred local businesses, but it is also specifically tailors programs to help the Canning business community at all stages in their growth process.
"With over 40 fully funded scholarship places on offer, there has never been a better time to kick-start your business aspirations or take the next step in your business journey,” said Mayor Patrick Hall.
“We’ve seen great diversity in the types of businesses that have benefited from the program and I’m looking forward to seeing who our successful applicants are for 2024,” said Mayor Hall.
Applications are now open until 30 April 2024 and places are limited. Currently the program has over 40 fully funded scholarships places on offer and those applying must be a resident and/or business owner/operator in the City of Canning, with virtual offices not qualifying.
