Planning Ahead: The Importance of Notifying Us About Absences
14 October 2024

As we head into summer, the end of the school year, and the festive season, we know there are many events and celebrations that might mean you need to miss lessons. While we want everyone to enjoy these special moments, we also want to remind you of an important aspect of our scheduling: planning your absences in advance.

We understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes plans change at the last minute. However, we kindly ask that you notify us of any absences at least one hour prior to class. You may be wondering, “Why is this so important?” Let us explain!

When you plan your absence in advance, it opens valuable spots in our classes for other families who may want to take advantage of makeup lessons. This thoughtful approach allows us to maximize our resources and ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn and grow, even if they miss a session. If we didn’t require advance notice, we wouldn’t have the ability to effectively manage makeup lessons, which could lead to lost opportunities for everyone.

We’ve made it easy for you to notify us! You can plan your absences through our user-friendly online parent portal. This feature allows you to quickly and conveniently submit your absence, ensuring that we can accommodate other students who may benefit from makeup lessons in the same class.

Also, if you plan an absence in advance and later need to change your class for any reason—whether it’s switching days or progressing to a new level—please remember to replan your absence. If you are making the move with the assistance of one of our friendly receptions team make sure to let them know about your planned absence, so they can ensure it’s added back onto your new class schedule.

By working together in this way, we create a more supportive and efficient learning environment for all our students. Your cooperation helps us maintain the quality of our programs and ensures that every child gets the most out of their experience.
