Public Notice - Community Fundraising Information and Temporary Closure Notice (Riverton Library)

Riverton Library will be closed 7 - 9 November 2024 as the space is transformed into the venue for the Camco Engineering Mayor’s Charity Gala Dinner.

With one in five Australians identifying with disability, the City is partnering with our business community to deliver a gala civic dinner, raising vital funds for Good Sammy – a much loved Western Australian charity (based right here in the City of Canning).

All proceeds from ticket sales and fundraising activities on the night will go directly to Good Sammy. Funds raised will support new initiatives including the delivery of traineeship programs in Canning and schools for students with disability.

To lessen the impact, Willetton Library will extend their opening hours to 5pm on Saturday 9 November and limited study space will be made available at Riverton Leisureplex on Friday 8 November and Saturday 9 November.
