Hillview Venues for Hire
The Hillview Intercultural Community Centre has plenty of venues available for you to hire.

Visit the SpacetoCo website to view live availability or book a venue.
To receive the community group discount, please message us on SpacetoCo indicating you are a community group and attach your association certificate.
If you need regular bookings, please email us at hillviewhub@canning.wa.gov.au.
The venues can’t facilitate private events or regular religious activities. For more information, please read the Booking Management Practice.
All hiring rates include goods and services tax (GST).
Multipurpose hall
The multipurpose hall can be used for conferences, workshops, entertainment, theatre performances and live music.
The room features:
- stage with accessibility stage lift
- projector, hearing augmentation and audio / visual system
- 2 microphones and 1 lapel microphone
- 150 armless chairs and 16 trestle tables
The capacity is 200 people. 160 people for a theatre or classroom layout. 120 people for sitting down at tables.
Cost:
- Multipurpose hall only– $47.50 per hour. For community groups / not for profit - $15.50 per hour.
- Multipurpose hall and commercial kitchen – $61.50 per hour. For community groups / not for profit - $22.00 per hour.
Commercial kitchen
Due to high booking numbers for the main hall and adjacent kitchen, we do not take bookings for commercial food production / food business use.
Whilst some community groups use the kitchen to prepare for their events, we do not take bookings for commercial caterers.
Examples of approved kitchen hire use includes:
- Use of the kitchen by organisations holding events in the main hall.
- Cooking programs and lessons (i.e. the Food Box Challenge or Thai Cuisine Cooking Classes).
- Cultural sharing through food where people cook a dish and share for conversation or community connection.
We have previously had opportunities through our Food Business Incubation Programs for new business to use it as a test kitchen. We are yet to confirm another round of this program. Please email your expression of interest to programs.hillview@canning.wa.gov.au
There are many kitchens around Perth that provide commercial kitchen hire. Please contact these venues and the local government area they fall under.

- stocked with basic kitchen appliances and cutlery available for hirers

The cost is $45.50 per hour. For community groups / not for profit – $15.50 per hour.
Bardip Mia – Art room
The art room is ideal for art classes, messy activities, training, and meetings. Room features:
- flexible furniture
- small kitchenette and wet room
- a digital smart screen
- 40 chairs and 15 square tables
Capacity is 50 people. 40 people for a theatre or classroom layout. 30 people for sitting down at tables
Cost is $23.50 per hour. For community groups / not for profit – $15.50 per hour.
Danjoo Mia – Collaboration room
This room is great for training sessions and meetings. Room features flexible furniture, a digital smart screen and large tables for collaboration.
Capacity is 35 people. 24 people for a theatre or classroom layout. 20 people for sitting down at tables.
Cost is $23.50 per hour. For community groups / not for profit – $15.50 per hour.
Kaartij Mia – Training room
This room is great for training sessions and meetings. Room features flexible furniture, a digital smart screen and a small kitchenette.
Capacity is 50 people. 40 people for a theatre or classroom layout. 35 people for sitting down at tables.
Cost is $23.50 per hour. For community groups / not for profit – $15.50 per hour.
Multipurpose sport nets
A variety of sports can be played on the Hillview Park Hardcourt, including basketball, futsal / soccer, tennis, volleyball and badminton.

Mobile food vendors can now book Food Truck Bays at the Hillview Precinct.
Halls and Community Centres
The City has an amazing collection of venues for hire, including fully-equipped halls, community centres, and pavilions.
