From 11 December 2024 to 4 February 2025, the City will be buzzing with a range of enriching and entertaining programs designed for children of all ages, from babies to youths. Whether your little one is a budding artist, a sports enthusiast, or a nature lover, there's something for everyone to explore and enjoy. Dive into a world of creativity, adventure, and fun this school holiday.
Leisureplex Creche and Play Centre
Our creches at Riverton and Cannington are open throughout the school holidays offering engaging activities for children aged 12 weeks to 8 years.
The Play Centre
- Holiday Special: Ultimate 2-for-1 Play Centre Offer (free for children under 1).
- Ages: 0-8 years
- Morning session: 9am – 12pm
- Afternoon session: 1pm – 4pm
Canning Libraries and Learning Hubs
Check out the fun activities available at Cannington, Riverton and Willetton Libraries, Hillview Hub and Canning River Eco Education Centre.

Leisureplex Kids Sports
We've got a range of kids programs that will get their hearts pumping. Classes are for kids aged 6-12 years, except for kindy gym which is offered for 5 years an under.

Looking for an exciting way to stay active during the holidays? Learn aerial silks, aerial hoop, and acrobatics in this dynamic and fun class guided by our expert instructor, Jade. Spin, climb, wrap, and balance while building strength, coordination, and confidence!
Kids Dance
These classes are designed for kids to have fun and learn exciting new dance moves with our awesome instructor.
Basketball
Pass, shoot and dribble your way through this dynamic and energetic kids class! Learn the fundamentals of basketball through minigames, fun activities and team building game play!
Badminton
Learn the core fundamentals of badminton in this dynamic and fun kid’s class. Practice different shots, strokes and techniques through mini games and fun drills in this exciting session.
Multi-sports
Keep the kids active and engaged during these school holidays with the amazing Multisports! have fun trying different sports and playing exciting team building mini games.

Play Centre
The Play Centre is designed for children aged 0 to eight years old. It is colourful, safe and air conditioned, and includes two slides, a small flying fox, and a super fun ball pit. There’s also a separate play area for tiny tots.
Libraries
The City of Canning has libraries in Riverton, Cannington, Willetton, at the Hillview Hub and at CREEC.
Youth Services
Our Youth Services team run programs, activities, and events to help the young people of Canning to connect, create, chill, and upskill.
Leisureplexes
There are Leisureplexes in Cannington and Riverton. They feature indoor swimming pools, gyms, sports courts, function centres and much more.
