MakerSpace

A man and woman using a computer to create

A creative space for crafters, makers and tinkerers!

The Canning Libraries MakerSpace is a creative space for people to try 3D printing, laser cutting, sewing machines, crafting and more!

All you need to get started is:

  1. become a library member (it's free!)
  2. book a short induction for the equipment you want to use*
  3. reserve the equipment that you want to use*
  4. get making!

All induction and equipment bookings can be made through the Canning Libraries’ Eventbrite page.

Users must be aged 16+ to complete a MakerSpace induction. By completing a separate signed agreement, adults that have completed an induction may bring children aged 12-15 into the MakerSpace, but children must be supervised at all times.

*Inductions and reservations are only needed for the following equipment:

  • 3D Printers
  • Laser Cutter
  • Sewing Machines and Overlocker

All other equipment can be used in the MakerSpace without an induction and reservation.

See the Library Kids page for programs and events for children and teens.

Makerspace will be closing for the year on 6 December 2024.
